Making the Time- Instead of Trying to Find It

Happy Tuesday guys, I hope everyone is having a lovely morning!! I'm just going to say it,  I'm bloody knackered. I think its a combination of Sundays adventures mixed with a lack of sleep and working till 11 pm last night and then being woken up at 4:30 am today...Today is a repeat of yesterday I'll be working till 11 pm again. On the bright side, I'll be off for a few days because my little cutie of a niece is turning 2 on the weekend and we are heading down to Kamloops for her birthday party!! I just need to make it through the next 3 days!

Lately, time management and making time for things other than work has been a bit of a balancing act some days I feel like I'm and winning and then other days I feel like I'm loosing. When I'm working till 11 pm its great for work cause I get lot done in the mornings before heading downtown for like "work work" but then Tim and I don't see each other for 2 days, and sometimes depending on my schedule it could be whole week before we actually see each other, which means you have to get creative and make time for each other. It can be something so simple as stopping by for coffee before I continue my journey to work or Tim driving me on Saturdays too and from work so we can spend more time together. I find that you just need to be productive with your time and make it count, spend it on the things that matter!

This post came about because one of the girls at work asked me how I found time to do everything and its simple, lots of caffeine and no to little sleep..lol no no I'm joking... kinda. There are days when I just want to stay in bed and sleep past %:30 am but you only have so much time in a day and it's important to make the most of it! This is something my sister is so amazing at and she even helps keep me motivated because I don't really think you understand "busy" until you have kids ..lol. When I'm having one of those days when I just don't see the point in getting shit done or being productive and making time for people or even myself I give her a call or a text and she helps me reset. 

I've also been loving lists. I make a list each day in chronological order from most import down to the least important and work through it, some days I get everything done and some days I don't but its okay because there are some things that can wait and other things that cant like spending time with Tim, and Family! its all about priorities and whats important to you! If you decide to sleep in the extra hour and skip the gym, that's fine but don't complain that you don't have the time to go to the gym, you make time for the things that are important to you and if you feel like you don't have time maybe you need to sit down and reassess where your spending your time and rearrange somethings, its all about finding a happy medium between work-life balance  which has taken me a long time to figure out and is something I'm still working on! You need to take care of yourself and do things that make you happy as well as getting the necessary shit done like work, housework, grocery shopping, pay bills...and so on... lol
