Staying Motivated

Good, Better, Best

Only you can change your life

Staying motivated or finding motivation is a test of one's self's ability to succeed and change. It's not easy to stay motivated or to stay in a state of motivation, we all have days when we think what's the point, why am I doing this... I'd much rather be sleeping, hanging out with friends, watching a movie, having a drink... it's so easy to find a million reason why you don't want to do something and replace it with something that you'd rather be doing...

So how do you stay motivated, how do you wake up every day and kill it, get out there and grind... Personally, I don't think there's one answer everyone has different things that motivate them. All I can say is find something that does motivate you and hold on to it for dear life... you hate your job... good, you live pay check to pay check …..good,  you have to take the bus work... good, you have problems going on at home... good, use it. When you feel like quitting remember those things, there's going to be lot's of opportunities to quit but you're still here and have some fight left in you and have been given the chance to change things. Life isn't easy or fair, so what are you going to do to change it. We can all find reasons why we can't succeed or why we're failing and why life isn't going the way we want it to... but let me tell you this you will fail more times then you succeed, failure is a part of success. So keep at, go back to the drawing board, figure out you next plan of attack, and stop making excuses.  You are the only one who can change your life. No one else can get you out of bed and make you put out 110% effort each and every day to change your situation only you can do that.

From a young age, myself and my sisters were told, life isn't fair, good enough is not good enough. life is tough and you have to work hard for want you want, no one is going to give it to you. I was 6 years old when my dad told me that,  I wanted a new bike and we didn't have a money for a new bike. Instead of crying and being angry with my parents who where trying to figure out how to feed 3 girls,  I decided to figure out how I could make 100$ to buy myself a new bike. 2 months  later, I had my bike, and realized that I had the ability to get what I wanted to change my life by working for it... how else does a 6 year old make 100$ in 2 month's.

As you get older it's easy to become complacent with your situation, it's scary the great unknown, you only truly grow and figure out who you are by being in those uncomfortable situations... Don't get scared, get it done. Whenever I'm feeling like I want to quit and I don't want to do this anymore, I like to listen to the podcasts and read books from people of whom I find inspiring and uplifting, I think to myself on those days when I don't feel like killing it,  did those people get to were they are by sleeping in and putting out minimum effort... no, they did not. I did not get up to day to be mediocre, I'm here to kill it, as are you! My go to are, David Goggins, Jocko Willink, Sophia Amoruso, Garry Vaynerchuck, Joe Rogan, and just people in general if you take the time to listen to someone's story you might be pleasantly surprised and realize that we are all out there trying to succeed and make a better life and change our situations.
