Lisbon Adventures

Good morning everyone, I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I was working this weekend and Tim has bee away all week in Ontario working as well, I guess that's what happens when your off for 3 weeks you gots to get caught up! I'm happy to say that Tim will be coming home tonight and I'm so excited to see him!

What did you guys get up to this weekend any grand events ?!

After the wedding and some time spent in Ireland traveling with the family we headed off to Portugal for a mini honeymoon! We spent some time in Albufeira which is in the southern part of Portugal and then drove to Lisbon which is on northern part of Portugal coatsline. We had so much fun traveling around the country eating and drinking way to much food and beer !

What I love about Portugal other the obvious old charm of the windy cobblestone streets and architecture that dates back to the 12th century, is the people! The people in Portugal are amazing their so warm and welcoming even though Tim kept trying to speak Spanish to them lol, they didn't made once!

during our day trip to Lisbon, first on the list to visit was Bairro Alto which is one of Lisbon's most famous quarters, known for its nightlife which dates back to the beginning of the 20th century where most artists and journalists gathered in the evenings its full of restaurants and bars and small windy streets. Most of the builds are filled with art work that just adds to its charm. After we walked through the Bairro Alto neighbourhood and stopping for a few pints along the way we headed off to the Time Out Market for some food. The Market is like a big warehouse filled with hundreds of restaurants and food venders that's lined with large bar tables where everyone eats together! You can literal find any kind of food you want here!

After our late lunch/dinner we did some more sight seeing and the headed back to car to drive back to our hotel in Albufeira, its about a 2.5 hour drive from Lisbon!
