Vinyl..... you either love it or hate it but either way its a trend and its not going anywhere anytime soon !
Vinyl is everywhere right now, from shoes, bags, skirts, pants, jackets, tops and even gloves ! You can get your vinyl in fun and funky colors if you feel like being "extra saucy". I kept it safe and stuck with black cause it was daytime and I was heading to work ...lol. Once again I got this skirt for only 20$!!! I decided to pair it with a basic white mens t-shirt and a tweed double breasted blazer. The skirt being vinyl-and-all ....can draw a bit of attention, so I wanted to elevate the skirt and give it a bit more ....class and sophistication, this helped me make an almost "R" rated item look a bit more "PG"....lol, cause like I said, I was heading to work!
One of the reasons I love Vinyl or any type of textured fabric is cause it makes a lame/ordinary outfit a bit more edgy and just ads some depth and excitement!
Vinyl first gained popularity in the 1960's and early 70's, designers like Andre Courreges, Pierre Cardin, and YSL were using vinyl in there ready to wear collections from skirts and trousers to transparent rain coats or as accents on shirt collars and other types of garments. Even the likes of Audrey Hepburn wore a vinyl suit designed by Paco Rabanne in one of her movies, since then vinyl keeps finding its way in and out of fashion trends throughout the decades. There is few communities that never seem to fall out of love with Vinyl, can you guess what they are?
Few of my favorite vinyl outfits lol! hope you find some inspiration!
